Devotional Message: The Power of a Good Start
The Bible begins with a powerful truth: God was there first. Before the world had form, before light existed, before time unfolded, God was already at work. This teaches us that every strong beginning starts with Him. Many times, we rush into new seasons, goals, and decisions without inviting God in. But Genesis reminds us that when God is at the center of the beginning, He brings order, purpose, and direction. A good start is not about having everything figured out. It is about trusting God enough to place Him first. When we start our day with prayer, our year with faith, and our plans with obedience, we allow God to shape what comes next. Even if your past starts were not perfect, today can be different. God is a God of fresh beginnings. He can take broken pieces and create something beautiful again.
Prayer:
Father God, thank You for being the God of new beginnings. Help me to start every season with You at the center. Order my steps, guide my decisions, and strengthen my faith. I surrender my plans to You and trust You with what comes next. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Call to Worship
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
