Devotional Message: Trusting God
God does not lift people up randomly. Every supernatural elevation from God comes with direction and purpose. When the Lord raises someone, it is always connected to His plan and His assignment.
In Jeremiah 1, God calls Jeremiah and tells him that before he was even formed in the womb, the Lord had already set him apart and appointed him as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah felt unqualified and too young, but God reassured him that the calling did not depend on Jeremiah’s ability—it depended on God’s purpose. The Lord then gave him clear direction: where to go, what to say, and the mission he was called to fulfill.
Similarly, in Luke 3, John the Baptist appears in the wilderness preparing the way for Jesus. The Bible says “the word of God came to John” and he began preaching repentance. John’s ministry was not random; he was lifted into a prophetic role with a clear assignment—to prepare the hearts of the people for the coming of the Messiah. His influence and authority came because he walked in the direction God had given him.
These passages remind us that God’s supernatural lifting always follows divine purpose. God may open doors, elevate positions, or increase influence in our lives, but those blessings are meant to fulfill His will, not just our personal ambitions. Elevation without direction leads to confusion, but elevation with purpose leads to impact.
Sometimes we ask God to lift us—to promote us, bless us, or change our situation. Yet God often begins by asking us something deeper: Are you willing to walk in the direction I give you? When we submit to His calling, He equips us, strengthens us, and positions us exactly where we need to be.
Just like Jeremiah and John the Baptist, God has already placed purpose inside each of us. Our responsibility is to listen for His voice, obey His direction, and trust that His lifting will come at the right time.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the plans You have for my life. Help me to listen for Your direction and walk faithfully in the purpose You have given me. Teach me not to chase elevation for my own gain, but to seek Your will above all else. Lift me in the way that brings glory to Your name and allows me to serve others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Mary declared that her soul glorifies the Lord and that her spirit rejoices in God her Savior. She recognized that God had been mindful of the humble state of His servant, and because of this, all generations would call her blessed. She proclaimed that the Mighty One had done great things for her, and that His name is holy. Mary also affirmed that God’s mercy extends to those who fear Him, reaching from generation to generation.
